February top tip ; The Importance of Warm-Ups
A proper warm-up routine enhances blood flow, mobility, and muscle readiness, getting your body and mind prepared to play.
Reducing injury risk and improving your on court performance. The 3 key components of a good warm up include;
Increasing blood flow - think heart rate and body temperature - bike, skip, pogos and calf pumps
Joint motion and mobility - dynamic movements for both lower body and upper body (think calf raises, lunges and arm circles)
Game specific- get your eye in for ball timing and coordination so your routine paired drills focusing on emphasising your shots - getting the body used to the shots gently and timing before letting loose in the match
