Padel is one of the most inclusive sports out there—no matter your level, you can jump on court, have fun, and enjoy the game from the very start. It’s easy to learn, super social, and a great way to stay active while having a laugh with friends. Beyond the game, padel brings people together. Whether you’re looking to meet like-minded women who love to stay active or just want a fun way to move, the welcoming community and accessible nature of the sport make it the perfect choice.

Celebrating International Woman’s Day - what it means for me - In the context of new sports like padel, encouraging female participation can be particularly significant. As a rapidly growing sport, padel offers the opportunity to establish an inclusive culture from the start, ensuring that women have an equal footing in its development. Padel can promote teamwork, strategic thinking, and social interaction, which are invaluable skills both on and off the court. Female participation in sports is a dynamic and transformative force that extends beyond the playing field or padel court - influencing society in profoundly positive ways. It's about more than just competition; it's about empowerment, breaking barriers, and fostering a sense of community among women and girls worldwide. Participation in sports instills a sense of confidence and self-worth among women and girls. It teaches discipline, resilience, and the importance of teamwork. On International Women's Day and beyond, let's continue to champion women's involvement in sports, ensuring that every girl and woman has the opportunity to experience the transformative benefits it offers.
We rise by lifting others is a quote I love and it’s exactly one of the things that has appealed to me in padel. And in particular the ladies sessions and matches I go too with women of all ages who come together to play, but to also support one another on and off the court.
I love cheerleading my padel partners and opponents as we all are just enjoying our padel journey and growing together.
For me also padel gives me time to connect with myself and stay in the moment. I’m a natural over thinker but when I’m on court I’m only thinking of my next shot or how to control the ball so it keeps me in the moment, which is so important. And of course to be off my mobile phone, disconnect from work is so good for me. I feel so much stronger in my mind and body - something no sport has ever done for me. I normally used to dread going spinning or for a run but now I count down the hours until my next padel game.
Win or lose, I’m always smiling as padel gives me so much joy, pumps energy in to me and definitely keeps my mind engaged which is a good thing as we get older.
